American General Atomics has offered some of the niche technology of the MQ-9B UAVs to India if India goes ahead with orders for 30 units of the new generation of multi-domain remotely piloted aircraft if the pending $ 3 billion deal is cleared by India for its Armed Forces.
India has sought some of the systems that make MQ-9B UAVs one of the most sought UAVs in the world. India is interested in Detect & Avoid system that allows the UAV to fly even in civilian air space which limits the need for a separate air corridor for the UAV while it moving for a mission.

Lynx multi-mode radar is another important system that India is eyeing. Lynx multi-mode radar is a high-performance system that provides high-resolution, photographic-quality imagery that can be captured through clouds, rain, dust, smoke, and fog. Lynx features its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Ground/Dismount Moving Target Indicator (GMTI/DMTI), and robust Maritime Wide Area Search (MWAS) modes.
Lynx’s search modes provide the wide-area coverage for any integrated sensor suite, allowing for cross-cue to a narrow Field-of-View (FOV) Electro-optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensor.
India plans to use some of the techs for its MALE and HALE Programs as it has not developed some of the techs yet other than secure voice radios, electro-infrared sensors, and comint systems.
