Since 2012, when India began testing Agni-V Ballistic missiles. it has been tested for a reduced range of 3000 to 3500 km even though it had claimed a range of 5000km officially but has an unclassified range of around 8000km. The missile will splash around the south of Australia furthest ever any Indian missile has such a long splash point. Chinese spy ship Yuan Wang-5 already has left the Indian Ocean region.
