    L&T plans to develop HALE UAVs with a 72-hour endurance range.

    In an interview with ET Now, Jayant Patil, Executive Vice President of Defence & Aerospace, Member of the Board of L&T Heavy Engineering, stated that the company is creating large drones with a 72-hour flight time.

    Larsen and Toubro (L&T) is investing at least 15 percent of its cash earnings in undersea and aerial drones for military usage.

    L&T showed a rotary-wing vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a range of 100 kilometres and four hours at Defexpo 2022.

    At Defexpo 2022, company representatives told that they are also building an improved version of the same VTOL UAV with a range of 140 kilometres and endurance of six hours that will be ready by 2024.

    L&T created the Tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (TUAV), a 700kg SR-UAV with an endurance of 11 hours and a payload capacity of 140kg.
