    Featured in:

The Indian Army is looking for interested bidders to participate in the procurement process for 300 Logistics Rough Terrain Vehicle (Lgs RTV), which will be purchased using the Fast Track Procedure under an emergency procurement.

Logistics Rough Terrain Vehicle (Lgs RTV) is a highly mobile, adaptable vehicle with rough terrain capability for use in places with a medium to high altitude.

The car has a tubular frame that houses the engine, the driver’s seat, and boxes or racks for carrying goods in the back and front.

The vehicle doesn’t need to invest in the creation of functional tracks because it can operate on existing Animal Transport (AT) rails in inaccessible terrain thanks to its excellent off-road capabilities.

The vehicle is easily adaptable to varied missions, such as the evacuation of victims or the delivery of loads. They are perfect for Last Mile Delivery (LMD) duties because of their capacity to move through snow-covered, uneven terrain for extended periods of time.

The Indian Army is looking for Lgs RTVs that weigh less than one tonne and have a minimum payload capacity of 150 kg with a 44 selectable drive system.

Logistics Rough Terrain Vehicle (Lgs RTV) should be able to operate at altitudes up to 16000 feet, be helicopter transportable by Indian Armed Forces (Chinook/Mi-26), have aircraft tie-down points for underslung aircraft in front and back of the vehicle, and be paradroppable.
